Following are some of our favorite special events celebrated both at the Elk Grove Heritage Park and at locations in the Elk Grove area.
The first ever wedding at our Heritage Park was that of our grant writer, Leticia Najar, to Erik Townsy. Here, Pastor Ike presents Mr. and Mrs. Townsy to the guests.
In October of 2007, we celebrated the rich history of the Lee School, by having a potluck picnic and reunion on the grounds of the former school, now a private residence.
Ted Horning, in red, enjoyed visiting with members of the Elk Grove Historical Society and relating the story of how he and his wife have restored the 1889 school.
